Kolkheti National Park is located in western Georgia, in the coastal plain of Kolkheti, between the mouths of the Tikuri and Supsa rivers. The park is located on a large natural wetland, ideal for tourists wishing to observe the birds.
The coastal zone of the park is one of the main migration routes of African and Eurasian waterfowl and wading birds. In this region, you can find more than 194 different species of birds, including 21 species of migratory birds.
?? Together with other areas, the northeast of Kolkheti National Park is considered to be the site of the ancient centre of Colchis – Phasis. Picturesque wetlands of the region are rarely found elsewhere in the Black Sea coastal zone.
They are ideal for the development of such types of tourism as boat trips, diving, hiking and horse riding. ?? EXPLORE GEORGIA WITH US!
